Local, clear and accountable
About our Newbury house-clearance service
The House Clearance Family is the property-clearance trading name of Berkshire Property Renovations Limited. Based near Newbury, we help customers across Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford and the wider local area make a difficult or time-sensitive job more manageable from the first conversation.
Start your estimateWhy this approach matters
House clearance is rarely just about removing objects. It may sit inside a bereavement, a house sale, a tenancy problem, a move into care or a demanding property handover. The customer needs clear decisions and realistic communication, not loud rubbish-removal language.
Our estimate process begins with useful information and photographs wherever possible. It is designed to reduce unnecessary visits while leaving room for a call or site assessment when the job cannot be judged responsibly from a screen.
The business behind the service
The House Clearance Family is a trading name of Berkshire Property Renovations Limited, company number 14388243. The company is active and its registered office is 16 Bridge Street, Hungerford, Berkshire, RG17 0EG. Estimates, bookings and invoices are issued through this legal entity.
Before waste-removal work is booked, we provide the current carrier details so customers, executors and property professionals can verify the business name, registration number and upper-tier status on the official Environment Agency register. GOV.UK tells householders using a private house-clearance service to select upper tier when checking the register.
What you can expect before booking
- A written scope showing the rooms, outside areas and items included
- Photographs and access details gathered before an estimate is prepared
- A non-binding estimated range until a person confirms the final scope, price and date
- Clear retained-item and exclusion instructions where contents must stay
- Straight answers when difficult waste, a specialist contractor or a site visit is needed
Business hours
Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. Enquiries can be sent at any time, but a message outside those hours does not guarantee an immediate response or emergency availability.
How contents are considered
Contents are considered for appropriate reuse, recycling, donation and authorised disposal routes. Not every item can be reused or donated, and final routes depend on its condition, material and whether a receiving organisation can accept it.
Important documents, photographs, jewellery and anything the customer identifies for retention should be separated or clearly marked before work. If an estate needs valuation, the valuation and retained-lot decisions should be completed before the remaining clearance scope is confirmed.
